Palo Alto Pop Overthrow

This week's featured album is "Black Magic Marker" by a band based out of LA. Their deceptive name--Light FM--is absolutely unlike their sound, which is pop recalling the 60s/70s like The Cars, merged with some twee elements and of course power pop like The Rentals and Redd Kross.
The band currently consists of Josiah Mazzaschi on guitar and vocals, Kim Haden on keys and vocals, and Brian Barbier on bass. Check out the Moog action on the title track for the disc, "Black Magic Marker:"
